About the book:
Gertrude Cadwalder works as companion to the eccentric Mrs. Davenport. When she is caught returning items that Mrs. Davenport "borrowed" Gertrude must try to explain that she's not a thief. Harrison Sinclair enjoys his friendship with Gertrude. Now, he finds himself caught between his mother and Gertrude. And he finds himself coming to the lady's defense. Yet things are never boring around Gertrude.

My Thoughts:
I've read several of Jen Turano's books before. I've found them light-hearted and highly entertaining. This one, while both light-hearted and entertaining, didn't hold my attention the way that her other books did. It was cute. I enjoyed the characters. But I just wasn't captivated by it. So while others have loved this book, it's not one for me. Still for a light-hearted read, it was pretty good.

I received a copy from the publisher for free in order to share my honest opinion of it. I was not required to like the book, only give an honest opinion. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recommended to fans of Jen Turano, Mary Connealy, chick lit.
