Lacemaker - A Review

Published - January 2018, Revell Books
Author - Laura Frantz
Title - The Lacemaker
Format - ebook, paper

About the book:
When colonial Williamsburg explodes like a powder keg on the eve of the American Revolution, Lady Elisabeth "Liberty" Lawson is abandoned by her fiance and suspected of being a spy for the hated British. No one comes to her aid save the Patriot Noble Rynallt, a man with formidable enemies of his own. Liberty is left with a terrible choice. Will the Virginia belle turned lacemaker side with the radical revolutionaries, or stay true to her English roots? And at what cost?

Historical romance favorite Laura Frantz is back with a suspenseful story of love, betrayal, and new beginnings. With her meticulous eye for detail and her knack for creating living, breathing characters, Frantz continues to enchant historical fiction readers who long to feel they are a part of the story.

My Thoughts:
Laura Frantz has done it again! She's transported me to a world that is rich in historical detail and made me forget about everything else going on.

Seriously, I've always loved reading about the Revolutionary Period. I loved Noble. I loved how he was falling for Liberty long before he admitted it. When she lost everything, he wanted to protect her. But she's a determined young lady. I loved her grit and her determination. And the other characters as well. I know that this is not part of a series, but I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. I'd love to see more from them.

I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher to share my honest opinion. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recommended to fans of historical fiction, Laura Frantz, Julie Lessman, Jody Hedlund
