About the books:
This collection of Bible stories is part of the Museum of the Bible. This is an actual museum in Washington DC that has only just opened. These books are a part of a series that will help children discover all about the Bible.

My Thoughts:
Wild and Wacky Things in the Bible - This book was so much fun to read and enjoy. It has very bright pages and there was a lot that I didn't know. I also liked that it paired the obscure fact with the actual story.

That's So Weird - This book had an almost comic book feel to it. But I enjoyed it. It also pairs the fact with the story so I could go and look it up and read the actual story.

What's the Bible All About - This board book answers the basic question of what is the Bible all about. It tells you what is the Bible's main purpose. It's really cute.

Children of the World Storybook Bible - What makes this book different than any other Bible storybook I've read is that the illustrations are drawn by children all over the world. The illustrations all have the child's name, age, and country.

My Thoughts:
I LOVE this book! It is beautifully illustrated. The text is a simple rhyme. I love how it is so simple to explain the Gospel to kids. The first time I read it to my best friend's daughters, her oldest (6 yrs old) kept asking why during the Uh-oh pages. It was a great opportunity for me and her parents to be able point out that sin causes everyone to be bad. 

Anyway, I highly recommend this book.

This was cute. Each story has a special letter to open. I found that it was longer than most Bible story books I'd read. I enjoyed it though.

This collection of Bible stories includes Creation, Noah, Moses, Esther, Baby Jesus, The Shepherds, Letting the Children Come, Jesus's Death, and The Empty Tomb. Brightly illustrated, is sure to capture the attention of a toddler.

My Thoughts:
This book was delightful. I've read a lot of different Bible story books, and this is probably one of my favorites. The stories are short (only a couple of pages), the pages are sturdy (it is a board book after all), and the pictures are vibrant. I took it over to my best friend's house and her seven month old was fascinated with the pictures. Of course the older two kids (ages almost 4 and 2) were interested in the stories. The oldest even sat down and "told" us one of the stories. I found that this book was perfect for the ages of my best friend's children. As I read it, prior to bringing to her, I discovered that there were eight or nine stories. Each one is only a few pages in length. It probably took me a maximum of 20 minutes to read the entire book.

This would make a delightful gift for any toddler girl. Because the book's binding is PINK! Still, I think that whether the child is a boy or a girl, the child would enjoy this collection.

Noah: A Wordless Picture Book - A Review

Beautifully illustrated, this wordless picture book tells the story of Noah.

I've never reviewed a wordless picture book before. So I'm not really sure how to go about doing it.

First the pictures are very beautiful. There are so many details in them. The way that they show the passage of time, I was just fascinated. I kept having to go back and forth between the pages to fully understand the message the pictures were saying.

I wish that the author had shown more of how the animals came to Noah.

I also wish that the author had shown the progression of sending out a raven, a dove, it returning empty, sending the dove out again with it returning with the branch, and then finally it not coming back. Those series of pictures show the raven, the dove with the branch, then the next page shows everyone exiting the ark.

Still it was a beautiful book. I can easily see adults and children being fascinated with it. I'll admit, I passed this book along to my best friend and her little ones since they love the story of Noah. According to my friend, the older kids, ages almost 2 and 3.5, enjoyed it once, but after that they wanted a different story. I'd say the best age for this book would be 5+.

A collection of beautifully illustrated Bible stories that will delight any little girl. Each story is short and has a prayer and "princess jewel" as part of it.

I love it when Tyndale offers a Biblestory book for review. And my best friend loves it too as her daughters benefit from it once I've reviewed it.

This one is beautifully illustrated. The pictures are sweet. I love the fact that there are crowns and jewels on every page! The stories are short. Only one or two pages in length. I think that is a great length for a small child's attention span. I also love the fact that each story has a short prayer and a princess jewel at the end. The princess jewels are little tidbits of advice to the young princess.

The only thing I didn't really care for was that the stories were not written in an engaging rhyme. That's probably the only reason I'm not ranking it 5 stars.

Each story is short and written in a rhyme that will capture kids hearts. Because of the few words per page, each story felt a little long. Yet I enjoyed reading this sweet book. I can easily see young children being fascinated by the pictures and the stories. I've not tested it with children to see how they will respond to the book, but that will soon change when I bring the book to a friend to read with her daughters.

Bible Stories that End with a Hug - A Review

75 beautifully illustrated Bible stories that are very very simple. Each story contains a memory verse, a very short story, and a couple of questions that can help children understand a specific concept about God. Each story also has a spot to hug your child and let them know that God loves them.


I was captivated by the pictures from the first story. The stories are simple with only a few verses to it. They are written in a way that young children should easily understand them. I loved how this book actually encourages parents to read the Bible to their children. Some of the questions may be too hard for the youngest children to understand, but when a parent is able to start laying spiritual foundations, I think that the children will begin to grasp it.
