About the book:
Katherine "Kit"FitzGilbert left the London society with its gossip and judgement over a decade ago. She lives a secluded life in the country. Business returns her to London where she finds her way into a ballroom and a chance meeting with Graham, Lord Wharton. Graham is intrigued by the woman hiding behind a plant. When one of his close friends asks for his help in locating his missing sister, Graham doesn't hesitate. What he thought was a chance encounter with the lovely Kit becomes much more as he soon finds himself deeply involved in Kit's life. Graham suspects that she knows more about his friend's sister's disappearance than she is letting on.
My thoughts:
This book wasn't nearly as light as some of the author's other books. Yet I was captivated with it. I loved the characters in this book from Graham and Kit to the people they encounter. I'll admit that this book was a little slower than the others the author has written, but this book was really good. I truly enjoyed it.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher in order to share my honest opinion about it. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Title - Journey to Jericho
Format - paper

About the book:
The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls series follows siblings Peter and Mary and their dog, Hank, as they discover ancient scrolls that transport them back to key moments in biblical history. In this fourth adventure, the time-traveling trio journeys to an ancient desert and finds the Israelites preparing to enter the Promised Land. With limited time to solve the secret of the scroll, Peter and Mary join Israelite spies on a reconnaissance mission to Jericho; sneak Rahab to safety; and ultimately face the scheming man in black as the walls of the city begin to crumble. Fans of the series will love this whirlwind adventure that brings the Bible to life. Ages 6-9 years.
My Thoughts:
This was really cute. I actually enjoyed it more than book 3. I love seeing where the scrolls take Peter and Mary. I love how they have a certain amount of time to solve the mystery or be stuck in the past forever. The kids get some help along the way of course.
I really want to know more about the uncle they're staying with.
This entire series reminds me a lot of the Adventures in Odyssey with the Imagination Station.
I received a copy from the publisher in order to share my thoughts and opinions. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

About the book:
Chloe St. John has been part of a K-9 unit for the past year. She and her partner, Hank, are frequently called to scenes where drugs are suspected. When she's called to the scene of an accident, not only does Hank find drugs, but he also discovers several teen girls - a part of a human trafficking ring. This case has connections to her missing teenage cousin. US Marshall Blake MacCallum's teen daughter has been missing for over a week. He gets a text ordering that he murder the judge he's protecting or he'll never see his daughter again. When his assignment and Chloe's case collide, Blake and Chloe vow to not only find his daughter, but also get to the bottom of the human trafficking case.
My thoughts:
This book was a FAST read for me. It held my attention all the way through. In fact, I read it, start to finish, in one day.
I loved Chloe and Hank. I think Hank's probably my favorite character. I also loved seeing the rest of the St. John siblings.
I'll admit that I had my suspicions early on as to who was the mastermind, and I wasn't wrong. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Fans of fast paced, romantic suspense will enjoy this book.
I received a copy from the publisher as part of the Revell Reads program in order to share my thoughts and opinions. I was not required to like the book; only to give my opinion honestly. My thoughts and opinions are my own.
