I have always loved to read. I remember reading before I was in 1st grade. I walked into my teacher's classroom and her name was on the board. The girl sitting next to me asked me what the teacher's name was. I remember telling her that it was on the board and she telling me that she couldn't read. So I knew at that point that I could read. Books are some of my best friends. I get to travel to exotic locations and across time. Plus my imagination is very active and allows me to continue the story once I finish the book.
But there's more to me than just books. I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. I never dreamed I'd be selling lipstick when I was growing up. But here I am. Mary Kay has given me so many opportunities for growth. I've grown as a person. And I've recently discovered that I adore getting prizes and recognition for a job well done. That's not something that I get with my corporate job. I also love the fact that I am my own boss. My Mary Kay business works around my schedule and I don't have to work someone else's schedule.
